The outboard, it is now well established, is the engine of the moment(READ HERE WHY). Marine engine giant Volvo Penta will also be responsible for building Seven Marine super outboard engines. Martin Bjuve, president of Volvo Penta America announced that the entire Seven Marine range has been incorporated into the Volvo Penta manufacturing process in Lexington, Tennessee, USA.

Volvo Penta and Seven Marine outboards.

In 2017 there was Volvo Penta’s acquisition of Seven Marine. With Volvo’s support in terms of economic means and expertise, Seven Marine’s range of outboards has already expanded in 2018 with the 527 hp and 577 hp, as well as the flagship model: the 627 horsepower.

With its technological background, Volvo Penta has integrated all outboards with the Electronic Boat Control (EVC) system. These are simplifications, additions, and enhancements intended to make boat management as easy as possible such as DuoProp, docking and steering joysticks, Glass Cockpit, and more. Volvo Penta and the development of outboards

Volvo’s 210,000-square-foot plant in Lexington houses Volvo Penta production of all gasoline marine engines and transmissions that end up worldwide. It also houses a final assembly line for the production of off-road industrial engines. In addition to the Lexington operations, an outboard engineering office has been established in Germantown where Rick Davis, founder of Seven Marine, will continue to work on outboard development along with the Volvo Penta team.
