Boating is a passion that involves more and more people, including neophytes. The trend is to seek standards of comfort similar to those we have at home. Water on board is certainly, one of the biggest critical issues. Therefore, companies (such as HP Watermakers) that produce desalinators in recent years have been vigorously implementing their offerings.
HP Watermakers SCA 540 – The watermaker for medium to large boats
What should be the key points? Small size, ultra-low power consumption and large production capacity. With these three main features comes the new SCA 540 watermaker from Italy’s HP Watermakers, which will be unveiled for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. The new watermaker is designed for medium to large boats (between 14 and 20 meters) and is capable of producing up to 540 liters of fresh water per hour. Its dimensions 841 x 458 × 450 mm, 85 kg) are practically the same as those of its “little brother” Kilo (840 x 455 x 420 mm) but the production is more than quadruple. The new SCA 540 will consume 3 kW, about half of the desalinators with this capacity on the market, and just three times as much as the kilo.
