Tankoa Shipyard

Tankoa Yachts
has begun due diligence for the 100 percent acquisition of Cantieri di Pisa. Technical and administrative verifications by Tankoa are therefore underway, which, if they produce a positive outcome, will lead the Genoese shipyard to the concretization of the operation.

“We hope that the technical and administrative verifications,” explains Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa Yachts. which will be carried out in the next few weeks will be successful so that work activities can begin with the gradual insertion of resources according to operational needs. In addition, I would like to thank Mayor Michele Conti and Eng. Salvatore Pisano for the support he received and for his willingness to support us in the implementation of our business plan.”

Following the launch of the 50-meter Olokun, and the sale of hull number 4, Tankoa is currently building the fifth hull in the 50-meter series.

About the Pisa and Tankoa Shipyards.

Founded in 1945 on the Arno River, the 76-year-old Tuscan shipyard became famous for its planing motoryachts, such as the Akhir and Kitalpha series designed by Pierluigi Spadolini. The acquisition of Cantieri di Pisa will allow both to grow the production potential of the Tankoa shipyard in Genoa and to revive the prestigious Cantieri di Pisa brand with innovative products ranging from 30 to 45 meters.

Thus, the goal is twofold: on the one hand, to increase Tankoa’s construction capacity with one more venue. At the same time producing yachts from a brand that has made Italian-made products famous around the world with projects like the Akhir.
