The Genoa Boat Show begins: here’s why it’s worth a visit!

The Genoa Boat Show (Sept. 20-25) begins, and trust me, it pays to visit this year. We explain why.

VISIT US (AND SUBSCRIBE)
First of all, this is the best opportunity to visit us at our booth, number S27, which is located above Sailing World: here you will find all our editorial products at discounted prices, accessories from our nauticplace.com website, and clothing from Crewcollection. Plus, you can subscribe to Boats by Motor right now (you can also do it online HERE). But there is also a unique treat: a gift to all those who make a purchase at our booth during the show, starting with 200 packages of the magical “Magic White” general cleaning sponges ….

THE BEST IN SHIPYARDS, ACCESSORIES, ENGINES AND SERVICES
But let’s come to the salon. Finally, boating has really started up again, and the numbers confirm it: you will find on display, at sea, ashore and indoors, the latest in shipbuilding production, engines, electronics, accessories, tourism and all services. This year there will be 948 exhibitors (up 7.2 percent from 2017) with 46 more boats on display in the water.

The inboard engine segment shows +13% growth while it is boom for outboards with +23% in terms of increased attendance. Accessories and components are at +16.8 percent.

LEARN MORE ABOUT PLANET BOATING
From Sept. 20 to 25, there will be six days dedicated to ForumUCINA’s institutional conferences, workshops, events and sports award ceremonies, complemented by “Sea Experience” activities where it will be possible to try out the latest in water sports or get involved in challenges and events organized to entertain visitors. The ForumUCINA conference program, will kick off on Thursday, September 20 with the inaugural conference “Global Champions. Boating and the Winning Country.” This will be followed on the same day by the highly anticipated presentation of industry data from The Boating Industry in Figures as part of the “Boating Economic Forecast” conference. Over the course of the six-day event, key issues of interest to the industry, from tourism and ports to boating and taxation to technological innovation and environmental sustainability, will be addressed and explored.

Day 4

SUSTAINABILITY.
During the six-day event, there will be numerous entities hosted at the Boat Show committed to engaging and raising awareness among the general public on the issue of protecting and defending the sea. From environmental actions, to 100% recyclable sails, all proposals aim to involve every figure related to the sea who is potentially able to actively contribute to the cause: institutions, boaters, boat clubs, industry operators, marinas, volunteers, swimmers.

Famous sailor Mauro Pelaschier will also be there, as part of the One Ocean Foundation initiative, a project of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. The former Azzurra helmsman is sailing to complete the circumnavigation of Italy in stages and raise awareness of the problem of microplastics in seas around the world. Leaving Trieste on June 29, Pelaschier will arrive in Genoa on September 21 and will be welcomed at the Boat Show and attend the opening night organized by the Italian Yacht Club. https://salonenautico.com/

If that’s not enough, you can try a lot of activities, test new products, participate in the side events planned as part of Genovainblu, and much, much more! We look forward to seeing you at the Genoa Boat Show!
