But which is the most suitable boat for long trips? There are many alternatives, but today we focus on the Beneteau Swift Trawler 35, which won the Best of Boats Award for “Best Travel Boat of 2018”.

The 11-metre Swift Trawler 35 from Beneteau is one of the smallest models in the range – only 30 feet below it – but no less suitable for long-distance sailing. On the contrary. The lines are certainly not “gritty”, but transmit great solidity and safety, features much more appreciated by those who want to venture on a long crossing.
Going beyond appearances, even in the design and fitting we find confirmation of what the design expresses: this motorboat is designed on a semi-planing hull with an inboard engine of 425 horsepower. These features make it very maneuverable, with good performance in navigation. At the stern the rather wide cockpit can be used during the summer for lunch, as well as the large bow sundeck.
The vocation of a traveler boat designed for travelers is also found in the interior and below deck with voluminous and functional interiors. From the wheelhouse the view is 360 ° thanks to the windows that surround the entire dinette, also bringing natural light. On board there is space for up to 6 people distributed between the master cabin with private bathroom, a second cabin with overlapping beds. The third double berth is obtained from the sofa in the kitchen next to the wheelhouse.
