Rizzardi Insix, at 50 knots with plenty of space you don’t expect

Truly an excellent job Damiano Rizzardi did in designing the new INsix. A coupe with sporty lines that does not seem to give interior needs any concessions. Yet despite appearances to the benefit of aesthetics, the interior spaces are admirable.

The three double cabins with three bathrooms all have that ease (and light) that transforms them from “spaces to spend the night” to “a place where I willingly stay.” So much so that the VIP cabin, located in the bow, is similar in size to the midship owner’s cabin. In addition, there remains room for the sailor’s room with private bathroom in the bow.

Same for the salon, which sees the kitchen moved toward the cockpit. Despite the very close choice of total black desired by the owner, there is no lack of light on deck, so much so that the feeling of a caesura between inside and outside is minimal. Only 10 years ago such a solution would have required lights on even during the day. We are on a 20-meter, but considering the outdoor space available to those who want a boat for living on the sea, the result achieved is remarkable.

Power in the engine room may vary. From the two MAN engines of 1200 hp each to the pair of 3100 hp total. The thrust is supported by Top-System surface transmissions backed by the “Easy-trim” system. A solution that guarantees the yacht not only excellent performance with top speeds in the order of 50 knots, but also low-speed planing. Low-speed maneuverability is provided by the Xenta joystick in the dashboard. (G.G.)
