One among the most anticipated models of the market, the brand-new Activ 675 is a boat you can’t not love. Quicksilver Activ 675 Cruiser, 6.48 meters long, she is offered in two versions: Cruiser, with a small cabin, and Bowrider, with an additional forward cockpit. Waterlines of both versions are the same as well as propulsion: a Mercury outboard from 115 to 225 HP. We tested the Cruiser version that, according to us, is the most suitable one for a Mediterranean use. The Activ Cruiser 675 is a multi-purpose boat, perfect for both families and those looking for their first powerboat. Lines are harmonious and distinctive. In particular, the bow, characterized by a vertical chine, provides free space for the anchor locker and the small cabin. The free board is higher and provides guests with more protection against water sprays in the cockpit. In the stern, passengers can benefit from many solutions to enjoy the sea, from the folding awning to the modular seats that allow to use the cockpit in different ways. The L-shaped sofa can, in fact, turn into an astern sunbathing platform thanks to the revolving backrest of the passenger’s seat. Alternatively, a small table can be installed and seat 6 people. Details are all well-finished and to define the 675 as an “ergonomic” boat is more than correct.

The enveloping windscreen is functional, equipped with wipers, a convenient lateral handle which to hold onto while sailing and an opening that gives instant access to the bow. The driving console is sporty, with a comfortable enveloping pilot seat, a wide steering wheel and easy-to-reach equipment. Ergonomics translates into efficient spaces, with multiple storage compartments and a small fridge under the starboard seat, which are smart solutions rarely found on other boats of the same size. Even inside, the cabin has impressed us for its dimensions and, above all, for its headroom and space arrangement, including a pop-up toilet. Now, it’s time to deal with sailing emotions.

Our boat test

We carried out our sea trial during a nice sunny day. The sea was flat and there was no wind. We left our berth easily and we immediately appreciated the steps leading to the main deck, where the wind-screen guarantees instant access from the stern to the bow. Out of the port, we turned on the automatic Active Trim, a system that adjusts trim automatically. The boat acted very well, like a perfect family sporty boat. The combination of engines ( a Mercury V6 FourStroke 225 HP) and hull lines delivered excellent performance in total safety. During our test, we reached a top speed of 42 knots without never losing control. Not bad, especially if we consider that our cruising speed was about 25 knots. In short, the Active Cruiser 675 is a complete boat that, within less than 7 meters, hides the solutions of a bigger boat. The version with Mercury 225 V6 outboard, Smart kit and some additional options is offered for sale at EUR 50,000.
