After the arrival of the flagship, the Palm Beach 70, the Palm Beach family expands again with a model that is arousing great curiosity. We are talking about the Palm Beach GT60 which will make its official debut at the Miami Yacht Show in February 2020.
Palm Beach GT60, cruising speed at 40 knots
The Palm Beach GT line was a huge success with the GT50. On this wave, the Malaysian shipyard, part of Grand Banks, is preparing to launch the new GT60 at the next Miami Yacht Show in February 2020. A high performance yacht that will also be the first yacht in the world to be equipped with a brand new package of propellers that the company has tested with Volvo Penta, bringing the efficiency of the yacht to maximum. Combined with two engines, the Volvo IPS 1350 has the impressive goal of sailing at a cruising speed of 40 knots with 400 nautical miles of range.
Palm Beach and the secret of materials
The GT60 is constructed with a high-tech vacuum-infused carbon fiber deck and structure that delivers twice the strength of E-glass but at half the weight. A closed-cell foam core constitutes the main structure of the bulkheads, a high-tech method that further reduces weight while enhancing durability of the yacht. Palm Beach uses vinylester modified-epoxy resin for all its infusion, which is another tell-tale of the brand’s commitment to quality and durability in construction.
The GT50 and GT60 are designed to attract a global market and are built with meticulous attention to detail and quality standards. The GT range is rapidly establishing itself as a new family of products under the Palm Beach. For a future (not too distant) we do not rule out the arrival of the GT70.
The full presentation of the revolutionary GT60 will take place at the Miami Yacht Show in February 2020, with a press review for the presentation of the new first photos at the Boot Dusseldorf the month before.
