Mazu 82 will be the new flagship of the Turkish shipyard Mazu. The first model is almost ready and seen from the outside it looks like a big 25-meter coupe boat. What is really stunning, however, are the interiors designed by Turkish designer Tanju Özelgin.
Mazu 82, the Turkish shipyard’s new flagship
Space and natural light on the boat: a challenge for all yacht designers. On the Mazu 82 the effect of the interior is breathtaking: the windows all over the deckhouse, a 9-square-meter windscreen made of ultra-clear laminated and tempered glass and the sliding sunroof, made custom by OPAC in Italy, make this boat extremely bright.
The artificial lighting of the Mazu 82 was also developed with a tailor-made system. Walnut and leather were used for the furniture – built by Mazu – while the walls were decorated with metal finishes and teak paneling painted grey. The fabrics and carpets were customs designed for the boat, as were the bronze tempered glass doors and stainless steel hardware treated with thin-film deposition (PVD) techniques in the same shade as bronze.
The yacht is equipped with a state-of-the-art audio system (JL Audio for exterior and Dali for interior). Leather and Alcantara upholstery and upholstery help with soundproofing. Wet surfaces are made of special synthetic material with a soft leather-like finish, while taps and bathroom accessories are from the luxury hardware brand Gessi. The kitchen equipment has been supplied by Gaggenau.
