Heron 38 chooses outboard engines to fly at 41 knots

The Italian shipyard Heron Yacht continues to work on its new project: Heron 38. In line with the trends that see more and more open boats with innovative and sporty hulls, Heron is going to present a boat that (above all) measures 38 feet, 11.65 meters.

In line with current trends you can choose between inboard and outboard. This has been developed in partnership between “SC Superyacht Design” and the shipyard’s technical department.

Heron 38, first of all outboard

The first Heron 38 will be equipped with an outboard motor and has been developed using sophisticated software for computer fluid dynamics simulation. The exterior is the unmistakable appearance of Heron, with a hull designed for fast and stable navigation. Day cruiser or walk around, with the engine that the owner wants. With this configuration, the boat will be able to fly up to 41 knots of maximum speed. One more than the sterndrive version.

Space at will

The deck has a large bar with integrated refrigerator, flap top, worktop with sink and gas burners. The large tailgate in the cockpit facilitates the maintenance of the engines in the outboard version, while for the outboard version space can be used to store the inevitable water toys.

Ease of management and safety are other focuses of the project: always at the design stage, the boat was studied from the command post and on the arrangement of the tools to obtain perfect visibility even with the dashboard tilt. At the bow, there is a very large sundeck for comfortable bathing in the sea, at the stern a large platform to facilitate access to the sea and have an additional surface. Aft of the wheelhouse there is a table with two side seats that turn into a second sundeck.

Interior

In the standard version there is a cabin with double bed, separate bathroom with integrated shower. The optional version includes an additional double bed below the deck in the driver’s area.
