From Great Britain comes a sub-8-meter novelty that is also perfect as a first sports boat. Named Fletcher F23, she is 7 meters and 15 centimeters long and is the latest from the British shipyard Fletcher Boats, whose flagship she will become by expanding a range from 14 to 19 feet.

Fletcher F23 – A Sports Motorboat

The F23 is a daycruiser with very sporty lines, powered initially by a gasoline outboard engine, although the shipyard has let it be known that it already plans to launch an electric-powered version around the fall of 2024. The design recalls the retro style of some iconic, often Italian, motorboats, but opting for more modern lines and innovating materials and electronics.

Stepping aboard the new F23 we find a large aft bathing platform, which houses a generously sized swim platform to which wakeboard or water skiing cables can also be connected. The hull is sandwiched of carbon fiber and fiberglass, and the hull is semi-planing, with a V-shape that is not too deep. In the stern we find two large sunbeds with built-in cushions, while in the cockpit area we find a C-shaped sofa and the two swivel seats for pilot and co-pilot. The whole is excellently sheltered by a frameless wraparound windshield that slides aft almost to its full length.

The forward part in the center of the windshield is hinged and has the ability to open, to access the forward area. Here we find a second cockpit also very sheltered, with recessed C-shaped seating and sound system. In fact, on board we find a Fusion system with a subwoofer and very powerful speakers, making it possible to listen to music even at high speeds and in noisy conditions.

F23 can accommodate up to eight passengers, giving everyone their own space to relax. Standard equipment includes two lockers for storing miscellaneous equipment (skis, boards, or other) under the sunbeds, the multifunction steering wheel, a 12-inch multitouch display with integrated GPS, and a digital compass. Propulsion is delegated to a 300-horsepower outboard capable of propelling the F23 to over 40 knots of top speed.

The F23 is priced from £175,000 excluding VAT and is available in six colors (Almond, Navy Blue, Aqua Blue, Black, Graphite and Red). Deliveries will begin in March 2024, on the
