We had called the Beneteau Antares 7 “the versatile, cabin cruiser entry-level.” A boat to start with, in short. Today we reveal a preview, however, of the model in the same range, but at the “higher” end of the spectrum: the Beneteau Antares 12. Midway between weekender and cruiser.
Beneteau Antares 12
It is scheduled to make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 as far as the European market is concerned, and expectations around this model are certainly high. The Antares range is among Beneteau’s most popular, and this new 12-meter powerboat already shows how the shipyard is working to make, even in the exterior lines, its new models increasingly modern. Add to this the combination of outboard and flybridge that makes the new Antares 12 a sport cruiser to watch out for.
Beneteau Antares 12 – Interior
This new 12-meter vessel brings true cruising elements and is in fact designed with a master cabin with private bathroom, as well as a VIP guest cabin. The third cabin can be used as a single or double berth or as on-board storage. Given that then the salon, as is often the case on this type of boat, can become an additional double berth, the places thus reach 8. The hardtop in this case forms the basis for a great flybridge to which is added the large aft cockpit and the sundeck forward.
The Antares 12, while having more “cruising” features, does not deny its dayboat DNA. Each of the three convivial/relaxation areas is equipped with seating and stowage to give everyone on board a place to enjoy their surroundings while sailing or at anchor. For those who enjoy water sports there is a side platform lowers to allow easy access in and out of the water.
Propulsion
Powered by a pair of 400 HP Mercury Verado V10s it has the latest generation of motorization, but can also be equipped with three 300 HP Mercury Verado V8 engines.
